Benefits on becoming a Member of the Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club:

  • We currently have approximately 1600+ active members and more than 100+ honorary members.
  • Membership gives you a link to former teammates – soon we will have a directory located on our website for you to use to contact your teammates (by login name and password only).
  • Use of our newly renovated private stadium clubroom for fall football gatherings and other events – a way to network with fellow athletes from around the country.

  • Eligible to purchase the prestigious Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club Ring
  • If your team were Big Ten Champions, you will be eligible to purchase a Big Ten Championship ring.
  • Free admission to home events of MSU Olympic Team Sports by showing your lifetime membership card
  • Eligible to receive 10% discount at the MSU Book Store by showing your membership card.

  • Rights to submit nominations for our Nell C. Jackson Outstanding Alumna Award, Jack Breslin Lifetime Achievement Award and Henry C. Bullough Service Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award for Retired Coaches.

The Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club supports MSU Athletics and the Community by:

  • Hosting the annual Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club weekend during the football season with support from Intercollegiate Athletics
  • Recognizing outstanding MSU graduates and varsity letter winners through the Jack Breslin Lifetime Achievement Award, the Nell Jackson Outstanding Alumna Award, the Henry C. Bullough Service Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award for Retired Coaches.
  • Participating in the annual MSU Homecoming Parade with fellow club members.
  • Fundraising, including the Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club annual spring golf outing
  • Placing Academics first by supporting the SASS and the annual Academic Gala
  • Supporting non-revenue sports through annual financial contributions to the Ralph Young Fund
  • Retaining a seat on the Athletic Council

We continue to broaden our impact and visibility with the following current endeavors:

  • Coordinating and hosting the annual Varsity Alumni ‘S’ Club Weekend Reunion and presenting medals to the 30, 40, 50, 60 anniversary winners.
  • Supporting special University projects, such as a gift of $100,000 donated to the Clara Bell Smith Student-Athlete Support Services Center.
  • Continued improvements to the Stadium Clubroom, such as the addition of team pictures, the donor wall and championship banners.
  • Maintaining our website and quarterly newsletters.
